Steve Berti Lead Pastor Pastor Steve Berti answered the call to full ministry to the Eureka first Church of the Nazarene after many years as a lay leader on July 2001. His call to Children and Youth ministry evolved into ministering to the whole church. He was ordained by the Church of the Nazarene in 2010 and became the Senior Pastor in 2016. Steve’s passion for the church is to connect with God and others as we pray, disciple, and serve together. "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely, I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:19-20 |
Greg Morse Redwood Christian School Principal Mr. Morse accepted Jesus as an eight year old. He did not grow up in a Christian home so he fell away in his high school years. He came back to Jesus at the age of nineteen and has been following him since then. He is an ordained pastor with the International Foursquare Church, pastoring for more than twenty-five years. He has a business administration degree from Humboldt State University. He has recently retired from thirty years as an elementary school teacher. "I know that my redeemer lives, and that in the end he will stand on the earth. And after my skin has been destroyed, yet in my flesh I will see God; I myself will see him with my own eyes - I, and not another. How my heart yearns within me!" Job 19:25-27 |
Nicole Johnson Children's Ministry Director Nicole grew up attending the Eureka First Church of the Nazarene. She became a member of the church in high school. She has been in many different ministries within the church over the years. Her heart is for everyone to know that Jesus loves them and for everyone to receive the freedom that comes with knowing Jesus as their personal Savior. Children are such an important part of the church, and they are the future leaders of our church. "Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it." Proverbs 22:6 |
